Meatloaf with mushrooms


  • 500 g baby chestnut mushrooms
  • oil, salt and pepper

For the meatloaf:

  • 1 kg minced meat (leg of pork)
  • 1 purple onion
  • 1 egg
  • breadcrumbs
  • garlic powder
  • ground paprika

The meatloaf mixture can be prepared a day in advance, to bring out the flavours.

Wash and halve the mushrooms, season with salt and pepper, then fry in a little oil.

Press the meatloaf mixture into a flattish baking tin lined with greaseproof paper. Pile the mushrooms on top, pressing them firmly into the mixture, then bake at 180°C for one hour.
